Covid-19 Policy

Due to Covid-19, strict safety policies are in effect and apply to EVERYONE.

I cover my styling chair in disposable vinyl. I also wear protective coverings. There is no way an operator could be three feet apart from a client while working, that’s why the client and I are covered.

You will receive foot coverings, vinyl gloves, and a sheer vinyl cape which you will wear out to your car and discard at your convenience.

Temperature will be taken at the door.

No wigs are touched by bare hands.

ONLY THE CLIENT IS PERMITTED INSIDE!

No pictures taken, but Facetime/Skype accepted.

More Than Just a Wig Studio…

At Grasta’s Beauty and Wig Studio, I treat every customer like my ONLY customer. I want you to receive the undivided attention you deserve while selecting wigs and headpieces. My wig shop is open by individual appointment only to ensure a personalized experience every time, and I welcome stylists and patients to call with questions about hair loss or to inquire about my many products, supplies, and wigs for cancer patients.

My Principles. My Promise.

Meet Sharon Grasta

Sharon Grasta, of Grasta’s Beauty and Wig Studio, has been in the beauty business almost all of her life. As a young girl, she was very interested in hairdressing and the styling of wigs. She faithfully helped her mother every day in her family‘s business, LuRue’s Beauty & Wig Salon, located in Rochester, NY, owned and operated by Grasta’s mother Lucille K. Russo.

Later she pursued her interest and graduated from Continental and the Chadwick of England Beauty School. During the 1960s, Sharon had the opportunity to meet the daughter of a wig supplier. This woman took her under her wing and thoroughly trained her on the varying qualities of wigs and how to identify top-quality wig pieces.

Today, Ms. Grasta is the hairdresser for the Rochester General Hospital. Sharon not only tends to hair needs of the patients at Rochester General Hospital, she is also known to visit with patients, and often does little favors for them when not called upon to do so. The nurses at Rochester General Hospital are very comfortable with Sharon in their work environment and her late father, Dominic J. Russo (also known as DJ), was always proud of how Sharon put in the extra effort to make the patients comfortable.
